Longtime Treasure Valley commercial real estate executive brings more than 35 years of experience to Boise Hunter Homes, leading its new commercial division.
BOISE, Idaho — September 16, 2026 — Boise Hunter Homes announced today the launch of a new commercial real estate division and the addition of commercial real estate executive Steve A. Vlassek to lead the expansion.
The new division extends Boise Hunter Homes' experience in land acquisition, entitlement, development and construction into the commercial real estate market, creating new opportunities across the Treasure Valley.
Vlassek joins Boise Hunter Homes with more than 35 years of experience in commercial real estate, development, leasing and investment sales. Most recently a Director with Cushman & Wakefield's Boise office, he has represented landlords, tenants, buyers and sellers across office, retail, land and other commercial properties.

Vlassek has held leadership roles with prominent commercial developers including The Sundance Company and W.H. Moore Company, working across major office, retail and business campus portfolios. Throughout his career, he has been involved in transactions and developments serving national and regional companies including Citigroup, T-Mobile, Amazon/PillPack, Dick's Sporting Goods, Kohl's, Hobby Lobby, Marriott and Intermountain Gas.
His experience also includes site selection, land development, market analysis, project planning, construction coordination and property management.
"I've spent my career working at the intersection of real estate, development and business growth," Vlassek said. "Boise Hunter Homes has established a strong development platform, and I'm excited about the opportunity to help expand that platform into commercial real estate."
Vlassek has also been active in local economic development, serving as a Commissioner with the Meridian Development Corporation since 2017 and holding leadership roles with the organization. His contributions to Idaho economic development have been recognized by Governor Dirk Kempthorne, and he was named a CoStar Power Broker in 2022 and 2024.
That experience will help kickstart Boise Hunter Homes' current commercial portfolio, which includes several projects:
Boise Hunter Homes is planning up to 16 acres of commercial development with potential uses including a grocery anchor, mid-box retail, a convenience store, boutique retail, restaurant space, and service-retail pads with drive-through capability.
Up to 10 acres are planned for commercial uses including service retail, a convenience store, storage and warehouse space.
The 1.6-acre site is planned for flex warehouse space, providing opportunities for businesses seeking adaptable commercial and light-industrial use.
Under Vlassek's leadership, the division will pursue commercial real estate and development opportunities throughout the greater Boise area, with the ability to accommodate future acquisitions as new opportunities arise.
